Tryon, NC - Woodrow Lynch Hague died on Monday, Aug. 6, 1990 in St. Luke's Hospital in Columbus, NC. Native of Columbus, NC and husband of Lucille Beech Hague. Son of the late William Carmichael and Maude Waldrop Hague and a graduate of Western Carolina University. Managing Officer of the Tryon Federal Savings and Loan Association for 29 years. Past member of the board of trustees of the Tryon City School having served 23 years as chairman and a retired Tryon Volunteer Fireman with 31 years service where he served as secretary-treasurer and lieutenant. Past president of the Tryon Kiwanis Club having served as secretary for a number of years and a member the Tryon Riding and Hunt Club having served as director, treasurer and chairman of the Tryon Horse Show. Member and past director of the Tryon Chamber of Commerce and a member of Jeff L.Nelson Masonic Lodge and has served as trustee and treasurer of the Tryon Congregational Church. Co-founder and present sole owner of Polk Memorial Gardens. Active in real estate development as owner of the Beechwood Subdivision. Survivors included: two sons; six sisters; two grandchildren.
