Excerpt from obituary published in the Mount Olive Tribune on July 21, 2011:

Maybelle Lee Foss Newcomb, 92, long time Mount Olive resident, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A retired homemaker, she was the daughter of the late Blackmon Lee and Cora Williams Lee. She was married, first to Claude Foss Jr., and later to John M. Newcomb. Deceased siblings include Joe, David, Louise, Betty, Mamie, and Hazel.

Mrs. Newcomb is survived by four sons and their spouses, 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, at Tyndall Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Singleton officiating.

Burial was at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 15, in the Wilson Cemetery near Calypso.
