Eva Isadora Martin

Eva Isadora Archer, only daughter of Charles E. and Eva Archer, was born January 20, 1872, in Davis county, Iowa, and departed from this life December 30, 1931, age 59 years, 11 months and 10 days.

On April 3, 1901, she was united in marriage with Benjamin F. Martin, of Drakesville, Iowa. To this union five children were born: Homer I., of Bloomfield; Mrs. Grace Gould, of Milton; Mrs. Blanche Thompson, of Davenport; Mrs. Eva Ewing, of Warsaw, Ill.; and Florette, who is at home.

She also leaves to mourn her passing, her husband; one brother, F.L. Archer, of Milton; an aunt, Mrs. Clara Edmondson, of Milton; and many others who cherish her memory as a loving relative and friend.

In early life she united with the Methodist church and remained in that faith until her death.

She was an active member of the W.C.T.U. and was greatly missed when failing health prevented her attendance. During her illness, which has extended over a period of several years, medical attention and loving care were lavished upon her, but God in His infinite wisdom has called her home to rest.

She will be greatly missed in the home where her patient suffering has been a beautiful Christian example to her loved ones.

Funeral services were conducted at the home on January 1, 1932, at 2:00 p.m., by Rev. H.F. Gilbert. The remains were laid away in the Sunnyside cemetery at Milton.
