Charles Wesley Cormany, 82, of Blanchard, died April 3, 2013 at his home. The son of George Wesley and Nanny Lorena (Slawson) Cormany, he was born April 14, 1930 in Oklahoma City.

He lived in the Sayre and Frederick area until his early teenage years and then moved to Healdton where he graduated in 1948. Charles married Connie Joyce Bickerstaff in Bellflower, California on October 2, 1953 and they moved to Oklahoma in 1954. Charles drove a truck and worked a number of years in the oilfield. He owned a fertilizer business in Blanchard and he and his wife owned and operated Cormany's Laundrette in Blanchard for 43 years. He also worked for Pet Foods in Chickasha for 15 years. His biggest enjoyment was hunting and spending time with his family.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Charles Wesley Cormany, Jr.; a brother, Wayne Cormany; and a nephew David Wesley Cormany.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce, of Blanchard; one son, Charles Randal Cormany and wife, Betty, of Paoli; two daughters, Trudy Cormany Newsom and husband, James, of Norman and Connie Cormany Budd and husband, Tom, of Stillwater; seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one brother, David Cormany and wife, Cindy, of Wilson; two sisters, Carolyn Thompson and Pat Weatherley, both of Healdton; and many other loved ones and friends.
