Herald Coaster, April 12, 1964:

Ben Burke, 77, of Houston, brother of Mrs. Frank Heard of Rosenberg, died at 3:15 p.m. Thursday at the Gulfway General Hospital. Burke had suffered a heart attack about two weeks ago and had been in critical condition from that time.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Garmany and Company Chapel in Rosenberg, with burial in the Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Amanda Burke, and one daughter, Diana Gail Burke, both of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. V.L. Peterson of Arlington and Mrs. Heard; and two brothers, William F. Burke and Richard Burke, both of Dallas.
