Services for Lottie Chaney Bloch will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2013 in the chapel of John Kramer & Son, with Rev. Ray Wells officiating, assisted by Dr. Lee Weems. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of service on Saturday in the funeral home.

Lottie Chaney Bloch, age 98, passed away Wednesday, April 03, 2013 at the Regency House in Alexandria.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jackson A Chaney and Margaret Floyd Chaney; her siblings: Ross, Ray, T.E., Jack, Thelma, Belle and Ruth; her husband of 46 years Leo I. Bloch and her son Bruce A. Bloch.

Lottie was born outside Gonzales, LA on August, 14, 1914. She spent her teenage years in Gonzales. After high school she attended and graduated from the Baton Rouge Business College and American Institute of Banking. Lottie was a savings teller at the Louisiana National Bank of Baton Rouge and a teller and bookkeeper at the Bank of Gonzales. She was secretary- treasurer of the Registrar of Voters Retirement System and also served as a member on the Board of Directors. She served as a deputy registrar of voters in Ascension Parish, LA. Lottie was secretary of the Rapides Parish Jury Commission, and served as past president of the Pilot Club of Pineville, LA. Lottie was a member of Pineville Park Baptist Church in Pineville, LA.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia B. Sandlin and husband Richard of Pineville; a step- son Marcel H. Bloch of Monroe, LA; her granddaughters Cynthia S. Stahoviak of Lafayette, CO and Jennifer A. Sandlin of Tempe, AZ; her great grandsons William Kai Stahoviak of Lafayette, CO and William Grant St. Clair of Tempe, AZ; her brother Sharkey Vance Chaney and wife Marie of Baton Rouge, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Bill Chaney, Rennie Chaney, Ken Gaar, Nikkie Gradley, Mike Hathorn, Perry Hyman and Dave Knight.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials may be given to Pineville Park Baptist Church at 2455 Highway 28 East, Pineville, LA 71360 or to Emmanuel Baptist Church at 430 Jackson St, Alexandria, LA 71301.

The family would like to give heartfelt thanks to Dr. Michael Madden, the management and staff of: the Regency House of Alexandria and Oasis Hospice.
