Kipp, 82, of Mansfield, Ohio died after a brief illness at Woodlawn Nursing Home Saturday, July 14, 2001. He was born May 6, 1919 in Mansfield, Ohio to Phillip and Bessie (Bell) Kipp. Mr. Kipp was a computer operator for Ohio Brass Company retiring after 43 years. He attended First Christian Church, was a member of American Legion Post #16 and was an avid gardener. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II during the Battle of the Bulge and received the Bronze Service Arrowhead, Good Conduct Medal and European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with six Bronze Stars. He is survived by his wife Ruth Wagner Kipp; one sister, Lucille Gabor of Mansfield, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents, brothers Albert and Paul Kipp, and sister, Thelma Swank all preceded him in death. Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Wednesday, July 18 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
