(WADLEY) Graveside services for Georgia Catherine Looser Sims, 81, of Wadley were Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at 11 a.m. at Sims Family Cemetery, with Elder Albert Wilson officiating.
Mrs. Sims died Sunday, Feb. 20, at Clay County Nursing Home after an extended illness.
A former resident of Brighton, Mrs. Sims was born Oct. 24, 1918, in Chambers County, daughter of John H. and Bertha Jarrell Looser. She was a member of Darien Primitive Baptist Church and had retired from Livingston Nursing Home in Bessemer, where she worked as an L.P.N. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul B. Sims.
Survivors include two sons, James Wood Sims of Wadley and George Benjamin Sims of Hueytown; one sister, Lemerle Parks of Talladega; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were James W. Sims Jr., Paul N. Sims, Thomas Nall, Kenneth Isbell, Frank Davis Sr. and Frank Davis Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Looser and Andrew O. Redmon.
Arrangements were by Quattlebaum Funeral Home, Roanoke.
