-IN DEATH-
Alfred A. Brown, 83, died at his home in Stillwater, Okla., Thursday, July 16, 1936. Funeral services were held from the Vincent Funeral Home Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Mrs. J.W. Reece reading Christian Science services. Interment was in Fairlawn cemetery under direction of the Vincent Funeral Home. I.O.O.F. services were conducted at the cemetery.
Alfred A. Brown was born in New York on January 2, 1853, and his death occurred in Stillwater on the anniversary of his wife's death.
Surviving relatives are a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Brown of Kingfisher, and their three children. A sister-in-law, Mrs. Lizzie Chandler, came to Stillwater 11 years ago to make her home with Mr. and Mrs. Brown, caring for them in their last illnesses. Two other sisters-in-law, Mrs. Lou Downey, of Coyle, and Mrs. Henderson, of Stillwater, survive. Mrs. Webber of Kingfisher had assisted in caring for Mr. Brown during the last few weeks.
Mrs. Viola Roderick, a step-daughter, her husband and two sons of Topeka, Kan., arrived Friday morning to be here for the funeral services.
Mr. Brown was a member of the Encampment, a Rebekah lodge, and had been a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows for more than 50 years.
