Leonard is the 7th of 13 children born to William and Rose Beveridge. He had 5 sisters and 7 brothers. Leonard and nine of his siblings lived to adulthood.
Leonard died at age 93, only 10 days before his 94th birthday in Chula Vista, CA. He was retired from the Navy and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association.
He married Arline Glendora Stout on April 17, 1937. Leonard and Arline were blessed with over 67 years of life together. They had two sons (1) Larry Leonard Beveridge (wife Jacquie) of Florence, OR. born Oct 14, 1937 in Little Falls, MN (2) Ronald Lee Beveridge of Chula Vista, CA. born July 3, 1953 in San Diego, CA. At the time of his death, Leonard had six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He and Arline were loved and active members of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, San Diego, CA
