Robert L. Alexander, 83, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Friday, January 28th, 2011 at the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle.
Mr. Alexander was born in Mechanicsburg, on June 20, 1927, the son of the late Irvin and Manirva (Light) Alexander.
Robert was a member of Christian Life Assembly, Camp Hill. He served in the US Marines inWWII. He retired from The Defense Depot, Mechanicsburg and also worked at the Mt. Rainier Ordnance Depot in Tacoma, WA.
He was the widower of Elvie M. Alexander.
Robert is survived by his son, Brian L. Alexander of Mechanicsburg; his two sisters, Martha Fisher of Chambersburg and Margaret Fitzsimmons of Lehigh Acres, FL, and a brother, William Alexander of Stockton, CA. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Duane and Irvin Alexander.
Graveside Services will be in Mechanicsburg Cemetery on Tuesday February 1st at 2:00 PM.
