Martha White Abernathy Pirtle, 91, died Saturday, March 26, 1994.
She is survived by her children, Mac and Betty McClure of Sugar Land, John and Ann Pirtle of Houston, Jesse Reynolds and Montana Pirtle of Fishlake, Nevada; her grandchildren, Ben McClure, Mary Pirtle, Jim Pirtle, all of Houston, and Steven and Jane Pirtle and their children, Adam and Joanna, of Fort Worth, Texas.
She was the widow of Jesse R. Pirtle and had been a resident of Sugar Land since 1923. She taught first and second grade in Sugar Land from 1945 to 1965.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 Tuesday at the First Methodist Church of Sugar Land.
In place of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Methodist Home in Waco or to a charity or church of your choice.
