Mr. Goetsch, 80, of 2456 SW Fairview Blvd., died Wednesday following a long illness.
A native of Milwaukee, Wis., born June 8, 1885, he had lived in Portland for 55 years.
In 1925 he became a partner in the funeral home of McEntee, Hennessey & Goetsch and was active in the firm until his retirement in 1945. He was president of the Oregon Funeral Directors Association from 1928 through 1929.
Survivors are the widow Myrle C. Goetsch of Portland; daughter, Mrs. Maine Yates of West Covina, Calif., and granddaughter, Maieli Yates of West Covina.
