Mary Veasy/Vasey English was the wife of Michael English. Birth Records from their daughter Catherine lists the family's residence as being at the Tonatonavally Estate in the Achill District of North County Mayo, Ireland.

Children of Mary Veasy/Vasey and Michael English:
* Catherine "Kate" English Miller, 1866 - 1928
* Mary English Kelly/Kelley, 1873 - 1918
* Margaret English Colleran, born 1869 - 1918
* Grace English, born Nov 1875

Mary and her husband Michael are listed as parents on their daughter Catherine English Miller's birth records, but Catherine's death certificate contains errors regarding her parents. (See next paragraph) Mary is also listed as the mother of Mary English Kelly and Margaret English Colleran on their baptismal, birth and death certificates.

Mary's husband, Michael English is listed as the father on Catherine English Miller's death certificate. But, the informant (the couple's daughter) mistakenly listed her own father's birthplace of Scotland, rather than Ireland. She also listed her own mother's name: Catherine English, where the name of Catherine's mother should have been.

The Mary Veasy and Mick English family immigrated from Blacksod Bay, Achill Island in County Mayo, Ireland to the US via Quebec, Canada in Apr 1883 as part of the James H. Tuke fund. The family settled in Cleveland, Ohio.

7 mos. before Mary's death she and her husband were listed on the 1900 Federal Census. Both were living at the with their daughter Mary English-Kelly's family. (The census info for their year of marriage & how many children were born to them is inconsistent with other records.

Mary Veasy/Vasey English and her husband Michael English rest in the same grave as their 8 mos old grandchild; Thomas Miller, Jr., who died in Oct 1903. Next to Mary and Michael English rests their daughter; Catherine English Miller and her husband, Thomas Miller. Mary and Michael English's grandson, Francis Colleran (son of Margaret English and James Colleran) also rests in the Miller's grave.
