Funeral services for Carter M. Haygood, 68, of Rosenberg, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church in Rosenberg, with the Rev. Leslie Welch officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
Mr. Haygood died at 12:25 p.m. Wednesday in Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Franklin and had been a Rosenberg resident since 1940. Manage of Woodland Motel for about nine years, he was a member of the Kilgore Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. C.M. Haygood; daughters, Mrs. Dorothy McSparran of Odessa and Mrs. Mary McGee of Midland; a son, Dick Haygood of Rosenberg; ten grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. C.L. McFerren of Rosenberg, Mrs. A.G. Scott of Franklin, Mrs. Bert Henderson of Edna, Mrs. Mattie Tynes of Rosenberg, Mrs. Erle Dury of Calvert, and Mrs. Faye Tyson of Corsicana; and one brother, C.P. Haygood of Marshall.
