It is appointed to all once to die, and it is with a sense of profoundest sorrow that we announce the melancholy intelligence of the death of Mr F Zepernick, a prominent citizen of New Lisbon, who departed this life on the morning of the 15th inst, at his residence on East Walnut street, aged 75 years. Mr Zepernick was a native of this county. He was for a number of years a member of the firm of Zepernick & Lodge, bankers here, and held an interest in a large wholesale grocery house in Cleveland. He was a member of the Methodist E Church. His wife survives him, his daughters, Mrs J D Briggs and Mrs B W Pritchard, having preceded him to the tomb. For a year his health had been gradually failing, but with energy he managed to be around until about two months age, when he took his bed. Patiently he suffered through weary weeks and, resigned to the divine degree, he went trustingly down in the valley and through the shadows. The funeral occurred at ten o'clock Monday morning. Public service was held at the house, after which the interment in the family vault was private.
