Carlos Farley Taken Today

Carlos D. Farley, of 515 West Cottage Street, died this morning at 3:45 o'clock following several months illness. He was 29 years, 11 months, and 23 days of age, and was born at Numa, Iowa, July 13, 1919, the son of Clarence and Ellen Farley.
Carlos attended the Numa schools and nerved with the Merchant Marine during World War 2.
On February 14, 1947 he united in marriage with Dorothy Potter, who survives his passing together with a step-daughter Shirley.
Two brothers, Joe Farley, of Jay, Okalhoma, and James Farley of Numa, also survive.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother and by two brothers, Elva and Pressley.
Carlos was a member of the Church of God in Centerville.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 o'clock from the Johnson Funeral home with the Rev. J. W. Atkins officiating and burial will be in Numa cemetery.
