Potter Body to Arrive Saturday

The body of Seaman 2nd Class Paul L. Potter will arrive in this city Saturday morning at 11 a.m. on the C. B. & Q. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. from the Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Friends of Ottumwa, Iowa, Pentecostal Church, will officate, and burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Cincinnati.
Seaman Potter was born October 5, 1919, the son of Ira and Elsie Potter, at Buhl, Idaho. He was killed in the Pacific April 13, 1945, at the age of 25 years, 6 months, and 8 days.
He was married to Dorothy LaVaughn Clemens June 16, 1939. Survivng are his widow, now Mrs. Jack Farley, one daughter Shirley, now 8 years old, his mother, Mrs. Elsie Matthews of Cincinnati, and two brothers, Clifford and Everett Potter of Moline, Illinois.
