Mrs. McMillan was born November 23, 1906 in the Town of Calumet, daughter of Edward and Julia (Strebe) Thuerwachter.She was baptized March 31, 1907 at St.Paul's church, Town of Calumet. Her godparents were Michael Haag & his wife Henriette. She was confirmed at the same church by Rev. Otto Hille on April 09, 1922.
On June 24, 1925 Anita (age 18) was married to Allan Richard Ammel (age 33) at her home in the Town of Calumet. Witnesses were Ethel Strebe and her brother Alex Thuerwachter. They had one daughter, Loretta, who died less than a year later. Allan died in 1963.
Anita married George McMillan. They lived in Calumetville for several years. He died in 1986.
Anita eventually moved to the Lutheran Home in Fond du Lac. She died Feb.18, 1996 at St.Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
