Mrs. Hazel V. Goheen, 91, of 375 W. Brown St., Beaverton and formerly of Sherman Township, died Monday, Aug. 27, 1990, in the Town and Country Nursing Home, Midland, after a long illness.
Born in Ohio, Sept. 1, 1898, she had spent most of her life in Gladwin County. She was a member of the R.L.D.S. church.
The former Hazel Keezer, she was married to Eber Goheen, July 17, 1915, in Gladwin. He preceded her in death Dec. 28, 1966.
Surviving are 2 sons, Leonard of Gladwin and Maynard of Warren; 5 daughters, Mrs. Veda May of Belleville, Mrs. Dorothy Smith and Mrs. John (Lillian) Simpson of Midland, Mrs. Richard (Ethel) Pickard of Gladwin and Mrs. Arthur (Edna) Matthews of Lansing; one sister, Mrs. Edith Vance of Florida; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and 2 sisters.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. Burial will be in the Butman Township Cemetery. Memorial may be made to the Shrine Crippled Children's Fund. Visitation is after 2 p.m. Wednesday. Gladwin County Record dated 8-29/1990
