Obituary for Gwendolyn Beall Stephens
Mrs. Gwendolyn Beall Stephens, 96, of Biloxi, MS passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 26, 2012.

Mrs. Stephens, born November 16, 1915, was the eldest child of W. Lee and Jesse Pullen Beall of Copiah County, Mississippi. She attended the public schools of Copiah County, Copiah Lincoln Junior College and the University of Alabama. Mrs. Stephens, widow of Charles D. Stephens, was a longtime resident of Biloxi and a member of Biloxi’s First Baptist Church and the Agape Sunday School Class.

Preceding Mrs. Stephens in death were her husband, Charles D. Stephens; her brother, Sam E. Beall, of Wesson, MS; and her sisters, Kathleen Beall Keenan of Longview, TX and Mary Nell Beall Allen of Augusta, GA.

Mrs. Stephens is survived by nieces, Suzanne Gregston (Rick) of Biloxi, Mary Allen Collins (Ken) of Columbia, SC, Melissa L. Allen of Grandbury, TX and Mary Ann Beall Kimbrough(Wayne) of Greenwood, MS; nephews, W. Lee Beall (Kay) of Willard, MO and Dr. William M. Allen (Cissy) of Savannah, GA; sister-in-law, Mary Anna Beall Grammer of Greenwood, MS; longtime friend, Russell Braun of Biloxi and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

The family wishes to thank the sitters and staff of Home Instead Senior Care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Stephens’ memory to the First Baptist Church of Biloxi, 1560 Popps Ferry Rd., Biloxi, MS 39532.

Services for Mrs. Gwendolyn Stephens will be Friday, June 29, 2012 at 2:00pm at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home.
