Obituary - Telephone Official Dies - Cynthia Thomas Adee Served as Delhi President Since 1948 - DELHI - Miss Cynthia Thomas Adee, 56, of Delhi, president and general manager of the Delhi Telephone Company, died late Wednesday night, December 2, at the Delhi Hospital, where she had been a patient for two weeks. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, December 5, at the McCall Funeral Home, in Delhi, with the Rev. Bruce G. Freeman, pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church of Delhi, officiating. Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery, Delhi. Miss Adee was born in Delhi, Aug. 24, 1903, the daughter of Stephen Forman and Mary (Buckley) Adee. She graduated from Delaware Academy, in Delhi, and from Elmira College, in Elmira. Miss Adee had been associated with the Delhi Telephone Company since 1940, and had been president and general manager since 1948. She was a member, and past president of the Delaware County Horticultural Society; a member of the Delhi Village Improvement Society. Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Charles Mitchell, of Albany and Delhi; one brother, Horatio N. B. Adee, Delhi; nieces, grand nephews and nieces. Friends may call at the McCallFuneral Home from 7:00 - 9:30 p.m., tonight. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Delhi Hospital.
