Audrey was the eldest daughter of Dorothy Elta (McCormick) and John Willis Coffee. While away at school in Texas, she met another student, Art Willhelm. They courted and later married in New Mexico on March 26, 1930.
Art and Audrey left New Mexico with other family and moved to Dinuba, California. After a few years, Audrey and Art moved north to Lodi where they lived for over 20 years.
In 1968, Audrey lost a battle with breast cancer and died within a few hours of her beloved "Papa."
