She was remembered as an old lady of a happy disposition, who amused the children with interesting stories of her early days. Her husband Abraham Parsons b. Feb 19, 1764, a farmer in Reading, enlisted at the age of 18 in the army of the Revolution. At the close of the war, gave up his gun, taking a receipt therefor, which was afterward accepted as evidence of service, for which he drew a pension of $40 a year. He died March 16, 1852 at Ridgefield.

Starr, b. Feb 15, 1793, d. Jan 25, 1867.
He m. Oct 15, 1814, Elizabeth Spear, b. April 6, 1792; 9 children.

Betsey, b. April 20, 1794, d. June 1868.
She married Rufus H. Picket of Ridgefield; 4 children.

Laura, b. Feb 18, 1798, d. Sept 20, 1835.
She married March 27, 1833, Moses Gregory Betts of Reading.
