Anton Anthenien passed away peacefully on March 25, 2013 at the age of 100. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Frances Anthenien. He was the devoted father of Ralph A. and Anton F. Anthenien and Noel L. Goehring, cherished grandfather of Christopher, Ralph Jr., Catherine V. Anthenien and Mary Yelnicker, loving great-grandfather of Jacqueline and Alexandra Anthenien, and Emily and Charlie Yelnicker.

Born in Obergesteln, Switzerland, Anton was a proud descendent of Swiss heritage and a long time member of the Aelpler Gruppe Swiss Club in Newark, California.

Friends and family are invited to a rosary on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 7:30 pm at the Chapel, St. Joseph's Cemetery, 2540 Church Lane, San Pablo, CA., 94806. A funeral mass will be offered at 9:30 am on Wednesday, April 3rd, St. Mary Magdalen Church at 2005 Berryman St, Berkeley, CA 94709. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, address as above.
