Mrs. F.W. Usher, 75, 402 Pond street, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. W. Clapp, 2113 Fair Oaks avenue, this Friday, morning. She was the widow of Francis W. Usher of Fitchburg, Wis., who preceded her in death 11 years.
Surviving are six children, four daughters, Mrs. Anna A. Bitney, Mrs. H.W. Clapp, Mrs. Roy Gilbert, Milwaukee, and two sons, H.D. Usher, Oregon and William Usher, Oak Hall, Wis. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday from the home of her daughter, Anna A. Bitney, 416 Pond street, South Madison, the Rev. Howard Hare of the University Methodist church officiating. Burial was at Oak Hall cemetery. –State Journal.
Mr. and Mrs. Usher lived in Oregon several years after leaving their farm home in Fitchburg. They lived in their home on North Main street which is now owned and occupied by C.C. Lincoln. After Mr. Usher passed away, Mrs. Usher continued to make her home here for some time before going to Madison to live with her daughter. She had many friends here who mourn her passing.
