Death of Eddie Garity. Eureka, Oct. 2. - Eddie Garity, the thirteen-year-old-son of Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Garity, died from the effects of an operation performed upon him some time ago for typhoid pneumonia. The disease settled in the child's left side, thus necessitating an operation. Eddie was an exceptionally bright boy for his age and his death is a sad blow to his parents and friends. The remains are being prepared for shipment to Salt Lake City for interment.

The funeral will be held at that place Thursday afternoon. Quite a number of friends and relatives will attend from here.

[Death records have him buried Friday, October 4, 1901.]
