Travis Douglas Harris, age 57, of Ledan Road Extension, Gainesville, passed away Monday, Oct. 16, 2006, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006, in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Don Pruitt will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006, and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006, at the funeral home.

Mr. Harris was born in Hall County to the Rev. Edmond Harris and the late Myrtis (Sullens) Harris. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother; brothers, Thomas Harris and Phillip Harris.

Mr. Harris is survived by his father, the Rev. Edmond Harris, Gainesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Roseann and Steven Burgess, Gainesville, Diann and Don Sawtell, Braselton, Joann and Johnny Cooper, Clermont; sister-in-law, Judy Harris, Cleveland; cousin who was like a brother, Bobby Gene Harris; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends who knew and loved him.
