Shirley J Remsberg, 72, entered into rest on Friday, Aug. 29, 2003 at Harlingen Nursing Center.
Shirley will be greatly remembered for her volunteer work. She volunteered for the past 17 years with Hospice Program, taking care of the ill and elderly, the Family Crisis Center and she was a very devoted volunteer of the Wesley Methodist Church Homebound Ministry.
Shirley will also be remembered by the Harlingen Medical Community as the "Cookie Lady". Shirley would take homemade cookies to all her Doctors appointments.She is preceded in death by her parents Foster W. and Christine M. Elwell Lasher and is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Albert Lewis Remsberg, son Christopher C. Remsberg daughter Amanda J. Remsberg and brother Warren W. Lasher.
