Donald E. Schutz, 85, of Lafayette, and Vero Beach, FL, passed away at his residence on Monday, March 25, 2013. Born in Lafayette on October 27, 1927, he was the son of the late Arthur and Gertrude (Adsit) Schutz. He honorably served in the U.S. Army.
He married Willidean A. Penrod on October 22, 1950 in Lafayette. She preceded him in death on July 23, 2007.
Donald was an assistant manager for the former Price and Price, National Homes. He had owned the Pizza King Commissary since 1966. He was a member of Lafayette Elks Club and the Indian River Country Club in Vero Beach. He enjoyed watching sporting events.
Surviving are his two sons, Steven D. Schutz (wife, Laurie) of Floyd's Knob, IN and Scott Schutz (wife, Kristi) of Lafayette.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the 2 p.m. funeral service on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Entombment to follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
