PANAMA CITY, Fla. - Mrs. Ruth Elaine Clark Morey Phillips, 86, of Panama City died Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Panama City Nursing Home in Panama City.

Graveside services are planned for Saturday, March 22 at 4 p.m. at Johnson Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Chad McDonald officiating.

Mrs. Clark is survived by two sons, Dr. Greg (Kati Behrens) Clark and Doug (Bedele) Clark of Lanett; three grandchildren, Brandy (Darryl) Easlick, Dr. Jennifer (Ricky) Strickland and Dr. Stacey Clark (Matt) Newkirk; and two great-grandchildren, Courtney Easlick and Kaitlynne Easlick.

In 1942, Ruth Elaine was married to James E. Clark (dec.) and lived with him in the Midwest. She moved to Lanett in 1959 with her second husband, Virgil Morey (dec.). Mrs. Clark remained in Lanett after her marriage to John W. Phillips (dec.) and moved to Panama City Beach in 1988.

Ruth Elaine loved to travel and meet new people, and she loved to shop. She was a frequent visitor to California, shopped in many of the stores in Ireland and made friends as far away as Japan and China. Ruth Elaine was an avid golfer.

In lieu of flowers, make donations to the Fuller Center Project for the Valley.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 22 at 3 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.

Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
