Otto V. Hetzel, 82, of Springfield died at 10:20 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 1993, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
He was born September 12, 1910, in Franklin, the son of edward and Rose Challans Hetzel, He married Mary Etta Tannahill in 1992. He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
A resident of Springfield for most of his life, Mr. Hetzel was employed as a painter by Fiat Allis Manufacturing Co. for 24 years, retiring in 1973.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Etta; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Services were held at Staab Funeral Home with Rev. Vaughn Beeman officiating. Burial was at Waverly Cemetery.
