Strawberry Point. She was a daughter of Henry and Mary Parker Folsom. She
was married to Will Price and the couple had one son. Their only child died
at the age of 21 in Montana and after the father's death there his mother
often returned to Iowa. She was later married to John Opperman and the
couple made their home in Oelwein where he died several years ago. Mrs.
Opperman died Dec. 23 at Mercy hospital, Oelwein. Survivors include one
brother, Hiram Folsom of Oelwein and several nieces and nephews. Services
were at the Hintz Funeral home Monday, December 27, 1965 with the Rev. E.
Morris Egeland officiating. Pallbearers, were Lavern Warthan, Mike Loban,
Harold Loban,Wilbur Duffy, George Winkler and Joe Fink. Burial was in
Woodlawn cemetery."
