Val Jean Jackson Burrow 90, of Cooper, Texas, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013. Her children Beverly Burrow and Jill Burrow Risman and grandchildren Adam and Jessie Risman invite her many fans to a casual celebration service at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Cooper, Texas. Burial follows at Restland Cemetery, Roxton, Texas. Visitation Wed. night, March 27, 6-8 p.m., Delta Funeral Home, Cooper. Feel free to wear blue, her favorite color, and denim and jeans in Jean's honor. Jean grew up in Klondike, Texas, and retired from the East Texas State University Library. She was preceded in death by her husband, L. C.; brother Billy Claud Jackson; and her parents, Otis and Eula Jackson. Survivors are sisters Sue Gammon, Waco; Myra Jackson, Mineola; and brothers Roy E. Jackson, Dallas; and Larry Jackson, Mineola.
