Robbie Nell Boman was born November 4, 1924 the twelfth child and youngest daughter of Albert and Augusta Borcherding Beers in Graham , Oklahoma. Robbie passed away Tuesday March 26, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 88.
Robbie grew up around Healdton, graduating with the Wolfe, Oklahoma High School class of 1940. After graduation Robbie Beers and Quinten Roberts were united in marriage on May 14, 1944 in Wolfe, Oklahoma. They had been married four years when he was killed in action during World War II.
She would later marry E. J. (Jay) Boman on August 12, 1950 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Robbie and Jay moved to Bixby in 1965. Robbie worked as associate editor and editor in chief for the Bixby Bulletin for 18 years, before retiring in 1990
Robbie was a member of the Eastern Star, First United Methodist Church, Bixby Pilot Club and the Bixby Historical Society. In her spare time, Robbie enjoyed spending thime with family, cooking, cruising, and church activities.
Robbie was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Quinten Roberts in World War II and her beloved husband, E.J. Boman in 1999. At the time of his death, they had been married 49 years. and eleven siblings
Robbie is survived by three sons and their wives; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Interment: Bixby Cemetery
