Warren Martin was born on February 27, 1936, to Charles and Annie Maude Boyd in Albuquerque, NM. He grew up in Fort Sumner and Roswell, NM. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees at Eastern New Mexico University is 1962. Here he met his wife Nancy and after their marriage they moved to Lubbock. Martin taught and coached at Coronado High School until he retired in 2001.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Boyd; their two sons, Charles Shannon Boyd and his wife, Lee Crawford Boyd, and Warren Ryan Boyd; grandchildren, Sam, Jack, and Nell; sister-in-laws, Janette Murphy, Iris Shermer, and Melody Seidlits; nephews, Chuck and Bill Morris; and nieces, Christy and Rita Dell Morris.
Mr. Martin is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and sisters.
