Note: There are several variants of the spelling of the name "McClenahan", I attribute most of these to the Irish derivation of the name, and the probable individual pronunciation of the name: McClenahan, McClenachan, McClenaghan, etc.......

Note: Served in Revolutionary War from PA. Second Battalion, Londonderry Company, Chester County Militia. Pennsylvania Archives Fifth Series Vol.V, p. 516-517. Migrated to Kentucky in 1785. May have later moved to Harrison County, Ohio, or at least purchased land there about 1820. Biographies of descendants of John and Anne Finney McClenighan in McClanahan Times, vol. 8, Issue 3, September 2002, p. 2-27.
