Waverly Journa, June 13, 1958

William Thomas Dennis, of Kalamazoo, Mich, and a native of this community, died Friday morning, June 6, at Kalamazoo, where he was employed as a salesman. He was 68 years of age. He had suffered a sudden heart attack, and was ill for about three weeks prior to his death.
Deceased was born at Maxwell, near Waverly, February 18, 1890, the son of the late Thomas L. and Mary Elizabeth Harris Dennis.
In early life he united with Providence church, near Waverly. About the year 1910 hewent to Chicago to live.
He was married to Mary Jane Estell, who survives him, together with two sons, William E.,of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Alfred Thomas of Chicago; one sister, Mrs. Edythe Stone of Waverly; two granddaughters and one great granddaughter. Preceding him in death were a daughter, two granddaughters and a great grandson.
The body was brought to the Neece Funeral home in this city, where funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Ralph Fitch, pastor the Methodist church.
Burial was in East cemetery.
