The Tampa Tribune 31 July 1910

It was with deep regret that the many friends of Mrs. T.B. Hendrix learned of the death of her mother, Mrs. W.C. Cannon, which occurred last Thursday morning at Mulberry.

Mrs. Cannon has been in feeble health for many years, which was due principally to old age, being seventy-four years of age at the time of her death. Until two years ago she lived at Apopka, but since that time has been in Lakeland with Mrs. Hendrix. It was while visiting another daughter, Mrs. R.L. Scott, at Mulberry, that her final illness came upon her, and she was at rest. Mrs. Cannon was a sweet Christian character, beloved by all who knew her and her death will be deeply deplored both here and at Apopka. The body was taken to Orlando, where interment was made in the family burying ground on last Friday.
