Zelma Lorene Baker was born to Lindsey Baker and Audrey Trogdon Baker on January 28, 1931.

Lorene was the 2nd of six children and grew up in the St. Joe, Arkansas area. She graduated from St. Joe High School in 1949.

Lorene met Ralph Eugene Young at a square dance in Tomahawk and they were married on May 20, 1949 in Marshall, Arkansas.

Lorene only worked for a short time outside the home, but she had five children and worked to make a
happy and safe home for them and Ralph. She loved to garden, read, and do word searches.

Lorene was preceded in death by both parents, Lindsey & Audrey Baker, grandson Joshua Higgins, brother-in-law A.J.Austin, brother Herman Baker, sister Allene Baker Campbell, sister Oleta Baker Austin, and brother Ken Baker.

Her services have been entrusted to the Mark Griffith Memorial Funeral Home - Riverside Chapel in Sand Springs, Oklahoma and will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28th, 2013, at Oak Hill Cemetery Chapel in Mannford, Oklahoma
