Mark Allen Ryan, 55, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away at 8:00 p.m. at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Mark was a rural carrier for the U.S. Post office, striving hard to make sure every customer was satisfied. He was a member of Bittersweet Garden Club of Jefferson City and Westminster Congregational United Church of Christ in Spokane, Washington. He loved the Mormon Church and was proud to be a direct descendant of the the Church's fourth president, Wilford Woodruff.

Mark was one of those quiet people who left a profound impression on those around him, which was realized only after he was gone.

Survivors are his partner of ten years, Scot Stout, of the home; mother Ruth Nicholas of Lynnwood, Washington; brothers Gary Ryan of North Bend, Washington and James Ryan of Tacoma, Washington; sisters Stephanie Moore-Himmel of Arlington, Washington and Cindy Moore Milligan of Mill Creek, Washington; and many, many relatives and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marshall Otto Ryan, Sr., and one brother, Marshall Otto Ryan, Jr.

Visitation was Thursday March 28, 2013, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning, Arkansas. Funeral service followed at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Linda Johnson officiating. Burial was in Richwoods Cemetery in Corning with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674.
