Frank L. Adams

Frank L. Adams, 84, of 608 Stewart Ave., Grove City formerly of Plain Grove, died at his home yesterday at 2 p.m. after a five month illness. He was born in Butler County on May 9, 1882, to the late James Millon and Nancy Jane Cross Adams. He was married June 3, 1908, to the former Civilla Ruth Covert and she preceded him in death. He was a farmer in the Plain Grove Area until he retired in 1957 and went to Grove City to reside with a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Shaw. Mr. Adams was a member and Elder of Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church of Grove City. Surviving are, three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Shaw of Grove City, Mrs. John Isabelle McNulty of Glenshaw, Pa., and Mrs. Glenn (Estella) Thompson of Canfield, Ohio; two sons, Everett of Long Beach, Calif. And Clyde of Volant RD 2; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by; his parents; his wife; a daughter, Nancy Jane and a brother, Charles H. The family will receive friends at the H. Glenn Cunningham and Son Funeral Home, Grove City, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. The service will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday from the funeral home with Dr. Kenneth Fraser of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of North Side Pittsburgh and Rev. Henry P. Tavares of the Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church of Grove City officiating. Interment will be in North United Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Plain Grove.
