The sixth of twelve children born to Russell and Ida Mae Crewdson Hogeland in Mount Vernon, Oregon, Agnes graduated from Grant Union High School, Class of 1941, in John Day, Oregon. She graduated in 1946 as a registered nurse from the Dalles School of Nursing, Dalles, Oregon, moving to Tremonton and then Salt Lake City, where she worked as a registered nurse at St. Mark’s and Holy Cross Hospitals. On November 11, 1950, she married, later divorced, Lee S. Brough. Survived by her children: Patricia (Douglas) Patterson, Julie (David O.) Evans, Jolee (Donald) Austin, Lee S. (Roxanne) Brough and Brent H. (Julie) Brough; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; three sisters Ethel Chapman, Deli Purdue, and Martha “Peg” Wait; three brothers Joseph Hogeland, Richard Hogeland, and Lennis Hogeland. Preceded in death by brothers Gaylord, Buster, and Jim Hogeland; two sisters, Margaret Ipson and Arlene Hansen.
