Dolores was born to Ethel Summarell and David Hutchison Brown on April 7th 1935, in Roosevlet Utah.

Dolores Brown married Freddie Grunewald on March 15th 1957. They had two boys: James Clinton, and Orland Fred Grunewald.

DOLORES GRUNEWALD Dolores Arlene Brown Grunewald, age 77, of Roosevelt, passed away March 25, 2013, at the Sr. Villa. She was born April 7, 1935, in Roosevelt, to David Hutchison and Mary Ethel Summarell Brown.
She was raised by her mother and grandmother and she graduated with honors from Union High School in 1953.

She married her sailor, Freddie Carol Grunewald, on March 15, 1957, in San Diego. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on February 14, 1958. They had 34 wonderful years together before Freddie died of cancer at the age of 55 on April 8, 1991.

Dolores worked for over 42 years as a banker for First National Bank in San Diego, First Security and First Interstate in Utah. She and Freddie square danced to Fred Brown for 30 years.
She volunteered many years in the UBIC, serving as president for two years. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many capacities including Uintah Basin Indian Mission for three years, and as an ordinance worker in the Vernal Temple for two years.
She devoted many years to the Senior Citizens Program.

She loved to travel, going on ten cruises, her favorite being to Scotland, Ireland, and Wales -- the land of her ancestors. Her last cruise was to Portugal, Spain, Italy, Turkey, and Egypt. She had also visited many other countries. She has lived in Utah, Florida, Texas and Arkansas.

Dolores loved her children very much, her sons, Clinton, and Orlie, who was killed in an automobile accident when he was 20 years old. She adored her grandchildren, Andrea and Travis and her great-grandchildren, Jordan and Kobe Gurr.

She is survived by her son, James Clinton (Erna) Grunewald, Cedarview; grandchildren, Andrea (Adam) Gurr, and James Travis Grunewald (Bobby Horrocks), great-grandchildren, Jordan Ty and Kobe Kruz Gurr; and Dane, Olivia, and Cora Horrocks; a cousin, Lola Hardy. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Hullinger; sisters, Darlene Van, LaJuana Lepore; four half siblings, Richard, Wallace, Arvilla, & Lucille.

Burial at the Cedarview Cemetery.
