SUNBURY, Ohio - Ada Dale Gerwig, 85, of Sunbury, formerly of Columbus, died Nov. 10, 1997, in Morning View Care Center.
She was a native of Braxton County, W.Va., a former schoolteacher and a homemaker. She was a member of Hope Baptist Church, Frametown, W.Va., Eastern Star Chapter 463 and Ohio State University Mothers Club and attended Linden Baptist Church, Columbus.
Surviving: husband, Earl W. Gerwig of Delaware; sons, Brian D. of Sunbury, Leland H. of Hawthorne, Calif.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Ronald Williams officiating. Burial will be in Frederick Gerwig Memorial Cemetery, Braxton County. DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Association, 3380 Tremont Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221.
