Hattie was the daughter of Isham Augustus and Carrie Stephenson Lyle, a pioneer settler family of Polk County, and she and brother 'Lige' lived together at the old homeplace all their lives.

Hattie had been a teacher in Polk County and also a receptionist for Dr. John H. Lillard for several years. She was an active member of Old Ocoee Baptist Church for many years.

She was survived by a brother Fate Lyle, and several nieces and nephews.

Note: Thanks to Bill Maughan for sharing the picture of Hattie. Her mother Carrie Stephenson Lyle was related to Bill and he remembers visiting in the summer and watching Hattie milk the nanny goats, and then went with Lige as he delivered the milk to his customers each day. Great memories!
