Second wife of Cooper Black and mother of his last 2 children. She had many grandchildren with a lot of step-grandchildren by her husband's 6 kids from his first marriage. But she loved us ALL and to all of us, she was our Memaw. Her step-children and most of the town called her "Miss Lois" and she was famous for her homemade chicken pot pies and coconut cakes. She worked for quite a while at the local post office after the death of her husband and in old age, she developed Alzheimer's. Her funeral was standing room only as she was loved by many.
