East Bloomfield, N. Y. - Mrs. Mary A. Appleton, wife of Richard W. Appleton, of this place, died at the Rochester City hospital on Saturday, aged 58 years. Mrs. Appleton has not been well since the death of her daughter, Agnes, in January; and her condition became such that a few weeks ago that she was removed to Rochester, where it was hoped she would improve under special treatment. Mrs. Appleton was a native of England, coming here when a child. On August 20, 1864, she was married to Richard W. Appleton, who, with one son, Frank, survives her. Mrs. Appleton was a member of the Episcopal church of this place. The remains were brought to the home on Saturday evening, and the funeral was held from there on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The services were conducted by Rev. W. D. Robinson.
