Mrs. Katie McCleary

GLEN ROCK - Mrs. Katie Sterner McCleary, 87, died Wednesday at 4:15 a.m. at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William J. Bailey, Glen Rock RD 1. She was the wife of the late Abraham McCleary.

Mrs. McCleary, born in Codorus Township, was the daughter of the late Jacob and Anna M. Markle Sterner.

A life-long resident of the Glen Rock area, she was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Zion (Shaffer's) Union Church, near Seven Valleys.

Survivors include another daughter, Mrs. Eugene Zeigler, Glen Rock RD 1; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Ida Grothey, Dallastown.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Geiple Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard C. Weaver, pastor of St. Jacob's (Stone) Church Lutheran congregation, will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
