Ardeth Irene Berglund died peacefully in her sleep on March 19, 2013, at age 93.
Born in Crandon, Wis., she moved as a young girl to Havre, Mont. She married Robert C. Trudell in 1939. He died in 1973. Later she married John Berglund in 1980. He died in 1986.
Survivors include her daughters Nadine Peterson, Roberta Plaisted and Dorothy Dowty. She is also survived by Terry Avila, her granddaughter whom she raised. She has eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Nancy Converse, predeceased her. A graveside memorial service will be held at St. James cemetery at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 27, 2013, in Vancouver, Wash.
